The Environmental Studies Program at Central Washington University
invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor
position to begin September 16, 2008. The successful candidate will also
be affiliated with one of the following departments: Anthropology,
Biology, Chemistry, Geography, Geology. Responsibilities include
teaching new and existing courses in the Environmental Studies Program
and courses in the home department, and maintaining an active research
program that includes supervision of student research. At the Associate
Professor rank, he/she will assume directorship of the new Center for
the Environment, working with faculty to integrate environmental
instruction and research, coordinate the university*s response when
environmental issues arise, and seek extramural funding to further the
goals of the Center for the Environment.The Environmental Studies
Program, established over 30 years ago, is currently expanding its scope
